Reverend Edward Edmondson was a blessing to my heart. He help me through the loss of a son. He also preached his funeral. He also baptized myself. He will be greatly missed! Brother Edmondson offered comfort to our family in many times of need over many, many years.
We are sure there has been a wonderful reunion day in Heaven. Brother Ed will be missed greatly. He was the first pastor I ever really knew. He was the one who baptized me. Sunset Lane was the only place I really felt like was a real church.
I haven't been able to find a great church since then. Again he will be greatly missed. Edward was always a good man and a leader. And for us he triggered such warm memories of Aunt Kate and Uncle Baxter and Big Daddy and those wonderful family fish fries on the river. Good people make the world a better place.
Edward will be missed, but he will be remembered. What wonderful memories we have of Bro. Our prayers and thoughts go to Mary and family. I too, like many others, will never be able to hear Amazing Grace without thinking of Bro. The world lost an amazing man but heaven gained a wonderful angel.

Ed and always singing "Amazing Grace". He was such a wonderful pastor and leader of our church.

Ed and Mrs. Mary throughout the years that I attended church at Pleasant Grove. I have many, many memories that will never be forgotten. He led me to the Lord and baptized me. He would go on visitation during the week and touched many people that way. I will greatly miss him. I have really enjoyed reading everyone's comments about Pawpaw.
He was such a sweet, funny, and Godly man.
I have only known him a short time compared to everyone else but loved him as soon as I met him. He was always kind to me and fun to be around. Reading everyone's comments on how he has touched their lives is awesome. What a legacy to leave his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids!
There are going to be so many people in heaven thanks to his direct influence on their lives. I am sure he is worshiping and fellowshiping with some of them now. I am sure he has many precious jewels on his crown. He was a precious jewel on this earth that will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. My beloved Edmondson Family, Don't you know he is singing at the top of his lungs! For 16 years he was my Pastor and for the rest of my life, my friend. Mary, when I called you guys about a year ago, Bro. Ed sounded exactly the same. The sound of his melodic voice brought tears to my eyes.
Talking to you, Mary, brought me back to a time when life was a little more simple and the precious friendships at our Sunset Lane Baptist Church meant everything to a little girl named, Alisa. The hours spent listening to Bro. Ed sing, "Amazing Grace". Like so many others, we will never forget the words to every stanza.
